FORTY YEARS OF SUSTAINABLE HARMONY

Cultivating Lasting Cooperation with Farming Families and Nature

For over 40 years, the Bläuel family has embraced a deep connection to people and the earth, shaping their business around these values. Drawn to Mani in the late 1970s, Fritz and Burgi Bläuel were in search of a lifestyle that aligned with their love of nature and community. This journey led them to collaborate closely with local olive farmers, nurturing the shift to organic farming and crafting some of the purest olive oil. Today, MANI Organic continues to support over 300 family farms in adopting organic practices, a commitment that birthed Greece’s first certified organic olive oil in 1991—now enjoyed by conscious consumers worldwide.

Their son Felix joined the family business in 2009, bringing fresh energy and ideas like the Naturland Fair certification, which transparently reflects the company’s dedication to environmental and social fairness. Since 2015, their daughter Julia has been contributing her passion and, in 2021, took on the role of Managing Director. Through fair partnerships with small farming families, MANI Organic helps keep the traditional ways of olive cultivation alive. Each olive is tended to with love and care, resulting in MANI’s award-winning range of products.

The MANI Organic Collection

The MANI Organic collection isn’t just about their renowned olive oils. It also includes raw fermented olives and traditional organic meze, all crafted with the same mindful approach.

Mani-Sonnenlink: A Sanctuary of Organic Living

In 2004, with the same pioneering spirit, Burgi Bläuel opened Mani-Sonnenlink, Greece’s first certified organic hotel. Nestled in the serene southern Peloponnese, this haven invites guests to reconnect with nature and themselves under the Greek sun.

Rooted in Respect for People and Nature

For the Bläuel family, the well-being of people and nature has always been at the heart of what they do. As the region’s largest employer, they naturally take on social responsibilities, creating nurturing jobs and working hand-in-hand with farmers. By paying their olive farmers above-market prices, they help ensure that the younger generations can remain in their ancestral villages, breathing life into the ancient cultural landscapes.

Sustainability is a way of life for the Bläuels. In 2010, they installed their first solar power system, which they expanded in 2020 to fully cover the energy needs of their Greek production site. By fostering biodiversity in their olive groves, producing organic products, and powering their operations with renewable energy, the Bläuel family is deeply committed to honouring and protecting the environment.
